Flood Film Footage - St Ives 02/02/14

OK - this is how the storm affected the same town two hours after I drove through it.  Especially, 5:30 - where the tide is more or less in the shops.  The news that we have bigger waves to contend with, actually depresses me.  I think you get beyond having the 'Dunkirk Spirit' and get quite dispirited.  Think we have enough weather, thank you :-/

That is just horrible. To think of, now they are saying that this will stay with until March. Gosh, I do hope they are wrong!
Keep safe, dear.

Wow, amazing! Such fury and force.

yeah, the novelty has worn off a bit around here too, all rivers are bursting their banks and it won't stop raining, apparently for the next 72 hours continuously *sigh*

I should be ok, Fee - I am up a hill, thankfully. Let's hope for a decent spring :-)

I know and it's about to go up a gear on Wednesday - thankfully I am far back and up on a hill, so we should be ok :-)

Sorry to hear about your flooding - I worry about those poor people in the Somerset levels. They dare not call a drought in the next couple of years, eh?
