wow, sorry to hear about all those relational changes. that would be extremely disconcerting to figure out what to do with the vacuums they've created.

yes, it is inconceivable how what we had come to rely on for friendship and community can suddenly dissolve with age. people become ill, compromised financially, die, many things erode our relationships. not sure of your age, but it sounds similar to what i've been experiencing as well lately with an aging arts community. people fall out of the picture, so to speak and i have to restructure my activities and friendships accordingly. suddenly i myself am in such a position in dealing with tgn. man this pain sucks. i never had pain of that sort throughout my life. now it persists like god has decided to punish me, although i've quit believing in any god anymore. it's pretty much up to us and the choices we make.
