Treslothan Church - Cornwall

After watching a Quoit being reassembled, I also visited the nearby church, which was locked.  It had been open (indeed I had parked outside, where wedding ensemble had gathered) but had been bolted - lest all the hairy hippies and archaeologists came scrambling into it from neighbouring fields.  Treslothan Church has the grand title of The Parish Church of St John the Evangelist, where wealthy mining/landowners the Pendarves family have their own Mausoleum.  The church is fully functioning and the mausoleum

pity you couldn't go inside, looks like a lovely little church. Great photos :-)

It was a shame, I think that they locked it because of the influx of people - it was a pretty remote church. It is also easy to find, and the Quoit is only a few road turns away :-)
