Ariel Atom

Saw this wee beastie at Exeter Services whilst on my travels.  It is the Ariel Atom, which is immediately identifiable by its exoskeletal chassis.  It's debut appearance was at Birmingham NEC in 1996 and allegedly it can go from 0-100 mph at 10.88 seconds.

lol - could you imagine being strapped into one of those? Not sure if I would want a high velocity face lift :-/

I did a couple of times have a belt round Silverstone with Mikey Hawthorn in a BRM !!! and you DO have to keep your mouth CLOSED!

But THIS... on a ROAD.... in the UK?????? aaaarrrrhh erm. I like my little Carcar.

I like the Lotus 7/Caterham, as seen on the Sci-Fi cult series 'The Prisoner.' Beautiful, but impractical here. You have a day of sunshine in June, then it rains for 18 months LOL :-)
