Wordpress Take-off

I relaunched my Wordpress page earlier this month - suddenly, I have amassed some followers. I am not sure why I am so surprised - I have a fair few on here but it has taken years to get that many. Right now, it is snowballing - didn't realise that Wordpress was THAT popular.

I have been writing in Wordpress for several months and have no followers that I know of.

I have had Wordpress since March and only recently it has got quite busy. I think I am attracting people who are interested in art and nature more than anything else :-)

Did you pay the hundred dollars a year fee for the site? I just have plain text and nothing else.

No - I have never paid for anything, yet I have a few nice templates etc. Someone else mentioned about payments too - all I can say is that I've got a free account, which looks OK. I'm in the UK, don't know what the difference is between us and the rest of the world.

I pay for my Livejournal account though, I had a Blogspot account, but it didn't take me very far.

I have in LiveJournal a permanent account that I paid for many years ago. I have had a diary in Diaryland since 2001. I started writing in Wordpress because I keep thinking the Russian government will someday close down LJ. I have never written in Blogspot or Goggle. Have you been able to post pictures and videos in Wordpress?

Basically it's the art/nature stuff I post on here without the videos, cartoon or inspirational quotes.
