I think as I get older, I come round to this way of thinking again and again.  I am getting too long in the tooth for games and therefore people who are in it for their self-interest only.

I came to this conclusion very early on -- Because I understood that all I had to offer was me, and I've found that it has enriched my life in surprising ways.

Just helping people to find their feet again, and watch them walk steadily away ... They filled my need/wish to 'love' without being 'owned' back.

I am pretty easy-going with my friends - I am not a networky kind of person, but the real friends I have are from many years back. I like to give people benefit from the doubt, but there are a few I need to cull and streamline a little. Life's too short for people who want to play games or bring you down.
