38) The best vacation you took?

I think I kinda answered that with the China entry. As a rule, we don't take vacations - more like day visits and my favourite place is Buckfast Abbey.  A place of peace.

oh buckfast Abbey ...we visited there last year , what a gorgeous place to visit and the buckfast wine ....thankyou for the reminder . It was when we holidayed in poole and we have been before when we holidayed in torquay x

you are very lucky being so close ...with me living in the north west we only get to visit these places when we holiday in the south x

Hmm it is still a bit of a trek (I am 18 miles from Lands End), but I appreciate that you have a further distance to travel than I do :-)

The window is the prayer room at the back, hand-built by the monks. The glass is very thick and the wall is huge - awe inspiring. Plus, there is a lot of stuff made by monks and nuns from other places. Well worth the visit :-)
