ASnd when I was in Venice and it rained and I had that ENORMOUS black cherry icecream in the dry (hahah goldilocks seated!) there was a plaque on the house that I could see from my seat..
DOPPLER - Christian Doppler died in that house in 1853 - so I raised several spoonsworths to him. He's always fascinated me... sound and light changes. In fact every time a car/train/mobike shoots past me I have a quick vision of icecream rain and that plaque. Bless him.
David Mitchell.... a name I SHOULD remember surely! But the ice cream rain.... THINK what it could do? everyone would be sticky and obese, and umbrellas would be carried upside down, and can we have Chocolate rain, or Rum and Raisin rain... teehee. oh my mind is so batty... it just flies off in like the gagabird!
OOOH YES!!! YESSSS OH THANKS a tonne for the link... I shall spend my evening guffawing now. Oh isn't he marvellous, I DO remember now... and Stephen Fry was so good then. They all were...
