I refuse to let my children watch this film as I was deeply traumatised by it as a very small child in the cinema. My parents are lovely, but several times as a pre-schooler put me in situations which upset me so much I still remember the distress. Hope I haven't done that to mine!

Mine haven't watched Bambi and I too, didn't watch it until I was older. I can't watch 'Watership Down' for the same reasons.

Saying that, my mother used to make me watch Tufty the Squirrel get run over on the info ads on BBC1. I used to shut myself in the loo and cry. It got the message across, but even so - bit heavy-handed in it's delivery.

Poor Tufty, I remember him well. The public service ads were disturbing weren't they? I remember the boy dying on a farm because he fell onto a pitchfork, we played on farms so it must have struck home. I hope you are okay now!
