Forgot to say that my Glastonbury photos are HERE

These are bloody fantastic. Thanks SO MUCH... the last time I was in Glastonbury was in the sixties when we were doing a 'dig' to find Arthurs grave... of course, we found nothing at all! and it was WET.

My goodness they've cleaned the place up and the grass shows the size and elegance of those ruins perfectly. It was all brambles and rough and horrid when I was there. They now look all 'gracious' and grand... it was a HUGE building... and now you can see it.

Thanks EVER so - I do love that Ham Stone colour - and that rather splendid house in the background - a real oldie with the window eyebrows and the pointed roof in pics 'Remaining pillars' and 'Right Frament' Oh, I do miss my Somerset!

Tis a GRAND bit of Norman. LOVELY... thanks a million.

Thank you - the abbey was lovely, bit cold but immensely photogenic that day :-)

I like these photos a lot. I would love to see these ruins in person!

Thank you - the abbey has a presence which enables you to image where the roof would have been. It definitely has a vibration, or aura. You can almost hear monks singing.

I could find some information, if you like :-)

If you have a problem with the link, I will find another :-)

Thank you! I didn't want you to bother yourself with looking something up for me but I am enjoying looking at this link.

Lovely pictures, such a wonderful place. By the way did you go further into the garden and see the fish pond? The fish are very friendly, especially if you give them some crusts.

Sadly, no - it was all a bit of a rush, really. Friends had come down, we met them half way, we had lunch and a browse around. So, my my excursion to the abbey was rather fast - 25 minutes max. I hadn't been there in over 15 years and Hubby now thinks he can make more trips like this. Next time, I will visit the Tor and takes some more leisurely ones :-)
