Central Track

Rare quiet moment between trains - don't ever listen to the automated announcement as it is very wrong.  Will tell you that there are no trains due, but not that they won't go whizzing past.  As this is a branch line with a one way track, I am perfectly safe, but I have to still keep quiet, listen to the lines and wait for the train to pass.

I just love the symmetry of it :-)

I was going to post Portishead 'Roads' but it sounded a bit worrying and NSFW

I used to love walking along the railroad tracks as a kid. It was peaceful, especially since the train no longer ran.

I think there are areas that I could walk alongside, but generally not. There is a bridge by the side of our beach and definitely not enough room. I can imagine that there is a a kind of meditation to be had beside an abandoned railroad - all linear lines and quiet cuttings :-)

There is and I miss it these days. There's really no place to walk with that sort of peace and still be safe about it. The security I had as a child to be left alone is sadly gone now.

The world indeed is too individually demanding, but in turn so very uninterested in the individual. Do you live in or nearby to a rural area?

No, I live in the middle of a city. It's a drive to get to countryside.
