Earthporm has come up with some more wonderful photos where the 'natural' world overcomes the 'unnatural' world. Trees will find a way to survive - I have seen plenty of photos of trees barely hanging on, but somehow making it through.  I love these photos below, because of the shape of the roots following the tessellating patterns of the pavement.

Stunning - mother nature at its best.

According to Earthporm's web site, "An extremely large tree doesn’t only hog concrete–it can also hog water. A big tree can consume 100 gallons of water out of the ground a day. To justify this excessive water intake, the same tree supplies enough oxygen to support up to 4 people."

It is beautiful - I feel a little sad for the tree, because it has to source its water through the concrete but it is thriving, so it is not such a bad thing. The top photo just reminds me of hair tresses :-)

Wow, amazing! When I looked at the first picture, I thought it was a metal sculpture, then I read more and realized it is a real tree, real roots. It definitely adapted and became a true survivor in the world...just silently keeps on going. I love it!

I just looked at the Earthporn site. I am blown away! I am in awe!

It is incredible, isn't it? Their stuff turns up on Facebook all the time. There are more pages from their site that I want to post as their photos are simply incredible, but I will do it over a number of weeks as it will bombard the reader with too much wonderfulness all at once :-)

Slip the mind just a little, and regard the roots - they look like football supporters all helping each other climb in over the wall!!

Ivy roots are like that, I have taken photos of roots that are as wide as a branch before :-)
