December 31st - 50. When do you find yourself singing?

In the car mostly - to all of my crappy cds :-)

December 30th - 49. When did you immediately click with someone you just met? Why? What was the long term result? Conversely, are you close with anyone now that you really disliked at first?

I think you do with people of your own genre.  They 'get' you and visa versa.  I have become closer to someone who really got on my nerves over the past two years, but I think being all thrown together at uni has made us a lot closer and the thing we have in common is the darkest of humour.

December 29th - 48. How difficult is it for you to be honest, even when your words may be hurtful or unpopular?

Difficult, because I don't like hurting other people's feelings.  Saying that, people usually know when I don't like or approve of something.

That Hubby's operation was a success.

December 27th - 46. In what area of your life are you immature?

I am child-like rather than child-ish re maturity in some angles.  Not a practical joker but will goof around.  Life's too short.

December 26th - 45. To what extent do you trust people? Explain.

I have been naively trusting, the folly of youth.  I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but shut down pretty quickly if proved wrong

December 25th - 44.Do you hold any convictions that you would be willing to die for?

None - other than the protection of loved ones.

December 24th - 43. How difficult is it for you to forgive someone who refuses to apologize?
Practically impossible. Alas, I am not a lover of 'love the sinner, not the sin' - I am more 'if you can't apologise, then get lost'.

December 23rd - 42. Have you forgiven yourself for past personal failures? Why or why not?
No - I don't think people do, to be honest.  There are some that I put down to the folly of youth (retrospective hindsight is always good), but there are a few things I wish I could change.

December 22nd - 41. What do you consider unforgivable?
Stabbing me in the back, so you can network yourself up the ladder.  Or thinking that you can be rude to my face and that is perfectly ok.

36. How has your birth order/characteristics of siblings affected you?
I was the eldest by 4.5 years.  I think as the eldest, you are made to carry the can a lot.  My sister was definitely my mother's favourite, but we both had difficult relationships with her for different reasons.  Dad also had a fractious relationship with his daughters, but he did blame himself for that.  Dad and I got on really well in the last ten years of his life.

My sister and I squabbled as kids, but as adults we get on pretty well - as close as sisters can be, but give each other space.  We are very alike in a lot of way, but poles apart in others.  I love her dearly and wouldn't have it any other way.

34. What’s your all-time favourite town or city? Why?

St Mary's, the Isles of Scilly.  It is 18 miles from Lands End and I have many good memories of it.  My sister and my youngest son have worked on the islands and I have had some great times.  A great place to get your head straight :-)

32. How and where do you prefer to study?

I have an office which is loaded with books, printers, calenders and a wipe board.  Most importantly, is the PC and Classic FM on, so I can concentrate.  That and either cat if they behave themselves.
