50 Day Question Challenge 2016 - Day 49

49. Go without car or internet for a month?
During the degree, I would go without the car, as I need net coverage to hand in my work. Any other time, i would happily go without the net. I have gone thru my max data on my phone and have been net silent during the day and actually, I have found it more relaxing rather than being chained to the net all of the time.

45. Use Facebook or Twitter?
It used to be Facebook, as friends were on it and I get some really positive news feeds from the pages I have signed up to, like Five Minute Crafts and Sungazing. However, I have been seduced by Twitter as it gives you licence to stalk celebs! Just kidding - I am more interested in Magic Realism Bot and Daily Bob Ross :-)

42. Read Kindle or Paperback?
I prefer paperback as the Kindle Fire plays with my eyes, makes them sore after a while. Possibly because the tablet is backlit, unlike the Kindle Paperwhite, which is easier on the eyes. However, I have an Audible Account and listen to books being read - everything from the classics to Terry Pratchett. If you have a chore to do, it's great - far prefer it to Radio 4 etc.

I have never needed to use them, but I have had a few friends that have and each had their fair share of heartbreak from the weird and wonderful. If I was in a position to be on my own, I don't think I would bother trying to hook up with someone online. I would prefer to find guys who were going the same places and doing what I was doing - so, mature students i.e. English grads, hairy archaeologists etc.
50 Day Question Challenge 2016 - Day 33

33. What did your past relationship teach you?
To not play along with players, to walk away. The brightest lights cast the darkest shadows. Sometimes it is better to be with someone who is solid and dependable, rather than reach the heights with others, only to have your heart broken. And.. that I like my own space and proof of partnership isn't to walk around joined at the hip. Hubby and I have joint AND separate projects. Makes for a far better partnership.

32. What is your idea of a perfect vacation?
Travelling solo, as Hubby is not in ANY sense a traveller. It would let me have time to have free rein with my camera, meaning that I can take both conventional and unusal shots. I would like the time to soak up the local culture and have quality time with my travel journal. It doesn't have to be too far-flung (although, ideally this would be great - I went to China almost a decade ago and loved every minute of it) and would have to be a package tour, as I want things paid all in, with minimal haggling etc.

50 Day Question Challenge 2016 - Day 30
Dec. 11th, 2016 07:51 am30. Do you believe in second chances?
Yes, I believe in benefit of the doubt, especially if it is someone you love. However, it takes an awful amount of work and it rather depends on the person who needs the second chance and the person of whom they are asking that chance from. If you are person a) then try not to mess person b) around again; however, if you are person b) stop harping on about how person a) let you down in the first place. It is an agreement that both have to honour. It might be the case of 'fool me once, shame on you - fool me twice, shame on me', but I think it's worth it. Don't go there the third time.
