Spent the previous day away as I had to attend meetings and see important people. I had spent the last day watching Edward Scissorhands and today I am watching Vincent and some of The Nightmare Before Christmas to understand Burton's stylistic approach. More later.

This is one 'Messay Essay' - 1,200 words partly plan, part observation. Some structure but mostly very loosely connected. My concentration levels are zero, mainly because of added burdens. Onward, I suppose - I want to see SOME progress. It doesn't help that I am trying to craft a Burton PP alongside. i would do it separately, but in forming the PP, it is actually helping me direct the essay.

I do actually feel like I have made some headway. A LOT of reaaranging and consequential rewriting. I had a cunning plan, then had to restructure it again - hence the mess. I think I might be calling it a day soon. Dinner beckons and I don't think I will be inclined to tie myself to the desk until late.
