Wake Up Call
Oct. 25th, 2014 09:07 amJust seen the new photos of the former FdA English Studies students on Facebook. They all look lovely and a shocking reminder that I will attend the ceremony with my own scroll, cape and mortarboard this time next year (in two years time, I will then receive the full BA at the very end of the course). Scary stuff. The thing is, I have so much to do, will the time drag or run away from me?

After a nonstarter of a day, I have started to write out my IAS abstract, where I brief the examiners how I am planning to writing for a living. It is a step-by-step guide to Writer's Magazines and online links to competitions and forums. I have to consider genre (gothic/reworked fairy tale/women's issues - hell, maybe even romance), length of story (flash fiction 500 words - ther stories range from 1,000-2,000 words and how much each entry may cost. I will be subscribing to one of the magazines, plus I have the current Writers' & Artists' Yearbook 2015.
I have to write all of my stuff from scratch and cannot submit any of the stuff I wrote last year (or the year before that - a pity as I wrote a reworked fairy tale back in 2012 for another course) and I have to consider titles etc. I have five of them at the moment, but I need more inspiration.
If there is anyone out there with random titles, please get in contact :-)
