West Cornwall in Winter

For those unsure where Cornwall is, it is the tiny leg part of the UK and I live 18 miles from Lands End.  St Ives is the nearest town and it has had extensive flooding over the years.  We have more worrying weather to come, so we are battening down the hatches and praying that we don't get too flooded.

Those pictures are pretty intense. Hope you didn't get drenched again. And hope you don't mind a comment from a stranger :) Now that I think of it, some of my ancestors came from Wales.

The other storm seems to have skimmed straight past us and headed north so I think we are ok. We are a bit further down from Wales, but I hear they had a bit of a bashing too.

that looks very damp, I hope the weather is kinder in future days and doesn't damage your home. We've just come back from Wales, the Severn is amazingly wide and swirling deep brown, very wet everywhere.

I spoke to friends earlier, who were travelling through Salisbury and they said that the weather was atrocious and made the driving conditions pretty hazardous. I am not sure whether the tidal flood warning is still in place but the area is very boggy and waterlogged. Thankfully, there has been little rain or wind today, so fingers crossed that it may just have blown itself out.
