EXACTLY!!! Its the same with those poetical lines that occur and if you don't write them down, doesn't matter how HARD you try and repeat them... they're gone in the morning!!! or just shadows that run...... teehee. You are clever at finding these!
Quite often, when I need to write something academic, I will be clueless as to what to write for most of the day - I can look at the same 300 words and draw a blank. The minute I try to sleep and my brain waxes lyrical :-/
