According to the weather forecast for the week, we may just experience a heat wave. Forecasters have claimed that the temperature will rise to the high 20s, maybe even 30c (87f). Now I am one of the first to whine when it gets cold, but for crying out loud, I have a south-facing cottage and the nights have been unbearably warm. The front room is a balmy 27c (80f) and it is so bloody humid, stuffy as hell - even with a fan blowing.

Feels like gas mark 5 - time to break out the iced mint tea.

I know that in comparison to the US, the UK has a damper, cooler climate. London is like a brick oven compared with where I live in the far south west UK, so I am lucky in some respects. I just think we are so unused to hot weather, we are ill-prepared for it.

I just hope they're wrong and it'll rain all week. I'm over hot now.

Actually it has become quite cool here, with a little rain too. I done with being par-boiled too :-/
