I am showing my age - inside I am a teenager than still loves Dave Gahan :-)

Oh, I remember him. He was the front man of Depeche Mode and really big in the 8oies. Yep, remember him well.

He was very cute in the 80's. For some reason DM did very well in the US - they are far more famous and well credited there than anywhere else.

did you hear the Vince Clark remix of the same song? It's terrible! I love DM too, but more Martin tha Dave I'm afraid.

Martin Gore is a really talented guy, a very good song writer. I am surprised that Vince made such a naff remix - however, he has a very different writing style, hence leaving DM all those years earlier. I think he and Gore are on a collective project at the moment (so watch out for more DM music being killed LOL).

I think Gore has an almost pure sounding tenor voice, that goes brilliantly with Dave's baritone. Ah Dave - still in love :-D

truly the combination is the magic though! Martin Gore's solo albums are fine, but not DM.

I like Vince Clarke DM, but prefer where they went afterwards.

The remix reminds me of a kind of Chemical Brothers riff (you can almost here 'Hey Boy, Hey Girl'). I have listened to Dave Gahan's solo stuff - it's ok-ish, but again, not DM.

I really liked the 'Violator' album - I played it all of summer 2001 (God!!! 11 YEARS ago???) and 'Songs Faith/Devotion' especially 'Walking in My Shoes.'

I got into them with the Music For the Masses album in *gulp* 1987!

I borrowed that LP from the library in 1990 - I drove my nextdoor neighbour absolutely batshit by continually playing 'Never Let Me Down.' Even now it gives me goosebumps :-)
