Welcome to the end of days.  Am still trying to write about James Joyce and Ulysses, with one day to go.  I have effectively given up writing for now - I have heard there is one student that hasn't even started, another's laptop has died and has been unsuccessful in retrieving her work, another deleted her's in a drunken rant and cannot find it in the recycle bin, or indeed on the machine at all.  I have not been able to go to bed until at least 2,420 words have been written, which I have only just done.

I will not be sad to see the back of this assignment - it is sad that I am so fractious and twee about this, but rootling through 'Circe' has made me ick.

When I wake up (and it will be early), I will dedicate the entire day and night to getting this sorted, converted to pdf and then uploaded - this will only get done if I  BLOCK MY WHOLE FAMILY FROM INTERRUPTING ME!!!! I think I can see me pulling an all-nighter to get this done.  I will probably spend Friday asleep and then press on with 'Lolita'.

Re the card - ah well, better late than never.

You could do with a book stand - it would hold the book for you, thus taking off the weight. I have two - one for the annotated book, tother for the tome (or two) that would take up too much space. Truly recommend it.

Teehee, I'm not daft. what with my Compleat SHakespeare (two tons) and Pillars, and Some Le Carre's anthologys... and my recipes as well. I GOT ONE!!! nice and sturdy in blue. For ordinary books I am usually using my chest bumps! Holds the book close enough to my new chinese specs for focus!!

Good luck... enjoy Lolita, she'll be MUCH easier going than Circe... Poor Humbert Humbert... he was a daft loon.

Nail has to be removed on the 9th February. They are considering ablation if it doesn't go well, which means I will be laid up for a while. So I have put the 'anihilation of my nail bed' on hold til I have done the War module. Christ knows how I am going to cart myself up to Plymouth and back otherwise :-/

Try the mag sulph paste first... does ease it if not get rid of the gunge which can cause such pain under the nail. It might do good! Honest... LOVE and sympathy!!!!
