Following my lengthy read of House of Leaves, I have set myself the task of reading (and commenting/reviewing) many of the recommended books that I have on my bookshelves.  I will do this throughout June - July, I will have to settle down and research my major dissertation.  Please feel free to comment, or even join me with your own books - it will be a pleasure to see what you are reading :-)

Cool, I look forward to seeing what you read next. I've just finished a book by Patricia A McKillip who is an American writer, called The Forgotten Beasts of Eld. It's written in a fairy tale style, but beautifully descriptive with a strange and wonderful main female character, a magician called Sybel.

I'd not heard of her before, but will seek out more. Intended as a book for young readers, it is more about relationships and power than the animals in the title.

Sounds right up my street, actually. Getting a bit fed up with dystopian stories and will look forward to a more comforting read (Moby's biography will be next).
