Mine sounds a bit ambiguous - like someone is tunnelling under parliament or legging it with a stash of cash. Again, more apt that one would think LOL :-)
'Roger' in the UK is now a euphemism of a very rude word. To 'Roger that!' would now meen to have sexual congress with. For an election campaign, it would be at least honest!
As I have said in a previous message - mine sounds a bit dubious like I am trying to make a big getaway. Scroll through your texts and tell me what your last message was. It's only fair :-)
At the risk of making a completely unintended 'down the toilet' reference, no :) Just letting husband know the new toilet was installed, and I survived the random complete strangers entering the apartment.
I am grateful for the opportunity to have interacted with you, to be honest, as it has allowed me a glimpse into the personal stakes of Brexit, and the consequences, than I'd otherwise experience across the Pond.
TBH, I think eventually we will do alright in the (very) long run. There are many countries in the Commonwealth who are bending over backwards to do trade with us, plus it isn't like we have left the World Trade Organisation. It's going to be a very tight few years (and the present govt have put many people in the poverty bracket way before Brexit came our way).
The worrying problem was that a LOT of people concentrated on the immigration crisis, rather than the economy. It drove many of the poor, white, disenfranchised people to vote for the very first time - most of them voted 'Out.' Hence the anti-xenophobic fury from the rest of the UK. The key players were to blame. Juncker inflammed a LOT of Brits, who had been dithering over stay/leave dilemma. Cameron played a duff hand, thinking that more people would vote remain than leave. I am not sure why he think he could do this - he has only ever got in on a margin for his entire prime ministerial life. He more or less reported that the immigration crisis had driven the 'leave' campaign to success in last weeks European Union. Dickhead.
It might pave the way for a rebirth of UK manufacturing. Brits don't really DO revolutions (they didn't think they did democracy until the last vote was called on the EU!!) and it's about time we did.
Excuse the tardiness of my reply, I have not been at my best the past several days. I have heard the next PM, whomever it is going to be, will be the first female since Thatcher?
It is, at the very least, heartening to see the world at hand become a minute amount less misogynistic (for lack of a better word?)/more diversified in our leaders.
Especially if it predictive text. My sister was expected for dinner and text through that she would bring dessert. Predictive text said 'ferret' - bit of a worry.
