Right now, Sir Pterry, I can well identify with this.  I so look forward to reading something that I don't have to dissect.

Man, is that the truth? There's nothing like a advance lit class to wring all the joy out of reading something.

Ha! Couldn't've said it better myself.

It just amazes me how they can manage to wring all pleasure out of a great story!

True enough. It's not so much about the 'writer's intentions'; more about the 'reader's response' - hence the preoccupation of choosing the Lit theory of your choice and decimating its contents.

Just chipping away/plodding along. I had a run in with student finance today, so that has added to the hassle.

So I was reading. Not such fun stuff, to be sure.

OH Terry DEFINITELY... I seriously couldn't do what you have to do - I CAN sometimes analyse and think I do, subconsciously, but to have to put what I get from a book into MY WORDS.... it'd be the death of me.

I'm a good read person! Just the music and the imagination.. Must get backa to Godel Escher... he's hard work but in small lumps - a sort of mad FUN!

Keep going gel! {{{HUGS}}}

Chugging away, hunny - down to my last 60 words of the second Angela Carter novel I am reading :-)
