Yes - when I was at school, this single came out about the same time as the Brixton riots and the beginning of mass unemployment in the UK. It was a desolate time, so very fitting for the feeling of the moment :-/
i don't understand how people can be perfectly happy doing their jobs and suddenly we are hit with mass employment. it makes no sense (or dollars) to me. are we all doing just one specialized thing like making cars and then it quits? henry ford increased wages to workers to buy his cars. self-supporting until the pyramid runs out and the masses at the bottom of the pyramid get screwed... it's the amero-canadian way...
Not at all - back in the seventies, Margaret Thatcher sourced a lot of jobs to poorer, overseas nations. Capitalists make money, not the workers. Mines were closed down, sourced to cheaper overseas once more. Investments fell, faith in the economy questioned. Bam - mass unemployment etc
bastards! they killed kenny. so who gets to look after the unemployed fallout of the masses? the government and tax payer at the profit of the 1%. thatcher was an idiot. duh
