Cornwall's Flash Flood (13/09/16)

There was a terrific storm last night - tried to capture it on film, but camera developed glitch and wipes the LOT! Curses! Here in St Ives we had a bit of local flooding, but it mostly drained away to the lower parts of the area.  It was a real whizz bang and according to fellow villagers, it came back last night.  Thanks to industrial earplugs (I wear them because of Hubby's snoring), I heard nothing, except the complaining of Prodigal 2 who had been up since 4am with it.

The storm mostly hit Camborne, Falmouth and Redruth - abouve is the largest Tesco within 25 miles and there is film footage of water pouring through the ceiling.  BBC News covered the event in an article HERE

Yeah, we're fine - think most of the damage was about 10-15 miles away. Cracking storm though.

Glad you are up a bit and where you are. These storms are getting a bit ... tropical. We've had some dreadful ones here... and hahah a chum decided with her hubby to take campervan and stay by the sea...hahah RIGHT UNDER the WORST STORM EVAH to hit that coast. We are totally rain and storm free... I think the Bad Weather Gods have lost us... whoopee11

I hope it all settles down to NORMAL... as it used to be about ten fifteen years ago... Hugs and stay away from storms!

Yeah, the major storm rolled up from the continent - LOL we had your left overs, Looloo!!

There might be another on Friday night, so the forecasters say. Flash flood for Wales this time.
