50 Day Question Challenge 2016 - Day 32

32. What is your idea of a perfect vacation?
Travelling solo, as Hubby is not in ANY sense a traveller.  It would let me have time to have free rein with my camera, meaning that I can take both conventional and unusal shots.  I would like the time to soak up the local culture and have quality time with my travel journal.  It doesn't have to be too far-flung (although, ideally this would be great - I went to China almost a decade ago and loved every minute of it) and would have to be a package tour, as I want things paid all in, with minimal haggling etc.

China was fun, wasn't it? Where did you go in particular? I think my favorite place was Xian.

Feng Du was fun. Did you do a cruise down the Yangtze? That's how we ended up there.

Yes. I was ill on the boat for the first three days, but I did manage to see Xiling Gorge :-)

Ick, I know what you mean. I am prone to seasickness, too. It was quite the sight, wasn't I? Sad to think it's all gone now.

I wasn't seassick - I had been given a dodgy bottle of tap water. The Chinese drs gave me a combo of Chinese herbal medicine and mainstream meds to stop me being sick.

Oh, that's even worse. I'm so sorry to hear that. They were demons about us and bottled water when we were there.
