A little while back, I considered doing an MA in English & Culture, but was denied any access by Student Loans. At the time, I was quite peeved - however ill health and nose-diving grades gave me a little perspective. I have been on this quest for quite a while now and I think after next years graduation, I will be done with this 'Academic Englishing' business. Now I have some time and no need to stress as much, I really appreciate the quality of life. Little things like walks, photography, music and reading for leisure. I felt that I was being squashed so flat by the sheer weight of the third year, that I was a little worried that I would crack under the strain. My body agreed with me and the rest is history.
If all goes well, I will finish with a respectable grade and then I will look forward to writing for my own pleasure, entering competitions and researching stuff I give a crap about.
