It's official - there is now no longer a railway track into Cornwall. Line washed away at Dawlish two days ago, now a landslide at Crewkerne. High tide about midnight tonight - remains to be seen as to what will happen. Fingers crossed etc.that the weather system changes and the destruction reduced. Attention is on Looe, Mullion, Penzance. The Somerset levels are affected again, plus the Thames has burst its banks at Chertsey (Surrey) again.

I know I shouldn't complain because my home is dry and safe, but it hasn't stopped raining for days and the wind is frightening, really would like some boring spring weather now. Hope you are all okay.

We're ticking on just fine at the moment - the met office think it should calm down next month. Thing is, there is a lot of bright sunshine in between the terrible weather here. Know how you feel, though xxx

I must not lie, we did have about 20 minutes of sunshine earlier where I filled up the bird feeders, rescued the lid of the recycling container and tied the shed door shut as it keeps being blown open by the wind, but it's raining again now.
