19th & 20th century: Wordsworth & T.S. Eliot - Starter

Ok, so I am down to my last three assignment.  Have shelved the 'One Text/Two Theories' one, as i think I will have to research a bit more. I am looking at IL3 which is the following:

IL3: Using one example from each, contrast the writing of the 19^th and 20^th centuries. (1000 – 2000 words)

I think I will use the following:

Earth has not anything to show more fair:
Dull would he be of soul who could pass by
A sight so touching in its majesty:
This City now doth, like a garment, wear

The beauty of the morning: silent, bare,
Ships, towers, domes, theatres, and temples lie
Open unto the fields, and to the sky;
All bright and glittering in the smokeless air.

Never did sun more beautifully steep
In his first splendour, valley, rock, or hill;
Ne'er saw I, never felt, a calm so deep!

The river glideth at his own sweet will:
Dear God! the very houses seem asleep;
And all that mighty heart is lying still!

Unreal City,

Under the brown fog of a winter dawn,

A crowd flowed over London Bridge, so many,

I had not thought death had undone so many.

Sighs, short and infrequent, were exhaled,

And each man fixed his eyes before his feet.

Flowed up the hill and down King William Street,

To where Saint Mary Woolnoth kept the hours

With a dead sound on the final stroke of nine.

There I saw one I knew, and stopped him, crying: “Stetson!

“That corpse you planted last year in your garden,

“Has it begun to sprout? Will it bloom this year?

I will at least start - may search for other alternatives.

Haven't progressed much further as pc playing up a bit.  Plus I have just found out that self, P1 & 2 are on Google maps.
