I have managed up til page 62 and have been distracted by learning to make rag rugs.  This is the test piece and now I will move on to bigger and hopefully better things - but not until the Levi assignment has been done.

Back to Levi - interesting how he writes as a scientist would, providing stats and pared back observations which enable the reader to believe the account without hesitation.  Right now, Levi is in the hospital for treatment re his foot.  Will read some more before I go to bed.

Well, I have done diddly squat over the past couple of days re my assignment.  I HAVE collected together some study materials and gone to the library to pick up key books.  Tonight I will try to find the moodle PP on Primo Levi and scan for some academic articles tomorrow.  I was thinking of legging it up to Plymouth to support the Pride Day up there, but I really should get on with my work (could go to library and read about the psychology of imprisonment, but tbh I am not sure where to start).

The reason for my absence is that I have been on a ray rug course and absolutely loved it.  Still filling in the gaps and have really got into all of this.  There is something very tribe-like about gathering in a small group and making something decorative.  The lady in charge does weaving and felt making too.  My ears pricked up at her longer course - a 10 week starter course in textiles which include the following; batik, weaving, felting, knitting, crochet, intro to a sewing machine amongst other things.  Price was good and I have said provisionally BOOK ME IN!!!!

I will post my finished product when done - I am quite pleased with it and I know that practice will make perfect if I continue. Squeeeeee!!!!
