I feel a little better since sorting out the 400 or so words for the ILS (I had also written an additional 400 words voicing my concerns re the title and the reasons why I am doing it - plus the books that I am reading that I don't feel will aid me in any way.  I have to restructure the planner a little, lop anout 60 words plus and make it seem a bit more cohesive.

Looking at the wipeboard, I also have to do the following:

  • IAS - print off titles/subjects, magazine/online competition proof and write 400 words.

  • Romantics - 1) research J-J Rousseau key texts 2) read/annotate Eolian Harp by Samuel Taylor Coleridge.

A former colleague of mine (now in 2nd year BSc Psychology) has updated his Facebook status, saying that he is doing an assignment on depression since 7:30 this morning and six hours into it, he is feeling REALLY depressed.  Know how he feels - it's a long, old day ahead :-(

Peace reigns for the time being - I have compiled everything to the best fo my ability (the IAS and ILS briefs both done), uploaded pp on Jean-Jacques Rousseau and sorted my notes on J-JS (i.e. his primary pieces of work). Annotated the Eolian Harp (Samule Taylor Coleridge), didn't understand most of it. I am home dry :-D

Damn it - I forgot that in addition, I have to do my finance papers.  Will have to rope Hubby in as I go cross-eyed when it comes to sorting out expenses paperwork.

Well we started with twelve and we are left with seven (maybe eight - it rather depends whether one of our missing 'satellite' student actually delivers on time). It has been most entertaining, for most part - producing Diva-like tantrums and question marks over others.  The plus side is - I think I will be having more to do with digital media website running as part of my core studies. Anyway, key studies for next year are as follows:

  • Integrative Applied Study (whatever that entails)

  • The Victorians

  • Contextual Study of Film

  • Integrative Literary Study

  • Romanticism

  • New Technology & Film

As previously described, I have a reading list for year two that is mostly comprised of Dickens, but I will start my summer break by reading Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451
